SCAM ALERT 🚨: Hidden Fees & A Missing Cancel Button Trapped Me!
I'm writing this as a warning about my terrible online shopping experience. I felt completely deceived and compelled to share what happened. After my infuriating attempt to purchase contacts, I left this review to summarize the situation: "SCAM company with bad tactics. Contacts showed a price of $38 per box. At checkout it becomes $78 per box. They add $40 per box processing fee. They show it after you fill up all the information and payment info. But wait, there is more, once they show their true self by adding $80 to your order, there is 'no cancel button', only a 'proceed with order'. Imagine how many people they scam with their tactics." Seeing that final price with no way to back out on the website, I had no choice but to call their customer service immediately.
Customer: Your website's pricing is a bait-and-switch. It showed $38 a box and then suddenly added a $40 "processing fee" per box on the final payment screen.
CS Rep: I understand your frustration with the final price. The processing fee is applied to contact lens orders for prescription verification and handling. I do apologize if this was not clear earlier in the process.
Customer: It wasn't clear, it was hidden. And then you conveniently remove the cancel button so people are trapped. I want this order cancelled immediately. This is a deceptive business practice.
